About the Author
Ron currently serves as the Marriage & Family Life Pastor at Vineyard Columbus, in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Master of Divinity (MDiv) from the Kings Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) from Asbury Theological Seminary. Ron has thirty years of pastoral experience--the first ten years as a youth pastor, and the last twenty years as a marriage and family life pastor. These experiences allowed him to develop the Parenting Adult Children (PAC) Model that empowers children to become relationally mature disciples and adults. He has published two books: Parenting Your Children Into Adulthood: Forming Lifelong Friendships With Adult Children and Journey To Oneness. Ron is the president of Life in Motion Resources (lifeinmotionresources.com), a company that partners with local churches to develop sustainable marriage and family life ministries. The Life in Motion Relationships Inventory (LIMRI) is an online inventory that many churches use to enrich dating, engaged, married, and parenting relationships. The LIMRI generates personalized online worksheets and growth plans. These allow relationship coaches/mentors, counselors, or pastors to interact with couples as they complete worksheets and develop new ways to resolve conflict, enrich communication, and practice spiritual disciplines, or work as teammates in parenting responsibilities. GREAT PARENTING BOOK! This is not a book that focuses on discipline like most parenting reads, but rather a philosophy on parenting from birth through young adulthood. I'm so thrilled with this book that I plan on re-reading it every year. It's easy to understand and not too lengthy.

In a world full of parenting books, Parenting Your Children Into Adulthood stands out as an exemplary book. This book captured many of the challenges that I face in parenting but more importantly casted a vision for me to work towards as a parent; choosing faithfulness over success. Success is based on how my kids perform and faithfulness is based on modeling the sacrificial love of Jesus. The pages of this book have reminded me that while parenting requires more than I possess, I have access to the resources of heaven to assist me. Two extra gems in this book are the Parent Plan in the Appendix and the free Parenting Inventory (LIMRI). The Parent Plan provides a concrete way for readers to walk out the vision of the book. The LIMRI (lifeinmotionresources.com) Parenting Inventory is an online assessment tool that also allows readers to embrace the vision of the book.
